Welcome to the

      Mary Dolly Foundation

A registered charity Established since 2006, The Mary Dolly Foundation provides flexible, comprehensive therapeutic facilities, individually designed for each location, offering early interventions for emotional distress at different levels to children and families with additional needs. These focused services are provided alongside existing universal provisions.

Interventions provided include one to one counselling for children, young people and, when appropriate, parents and families, as well as group work for children, young people and adults.

The Foundation also provides socialisation projects for senior adults over 60.

For each project the Foundation provides a full service of needs assessment and project design and implementation which is individually tailored to meet the needs of local communities or pockets of individual, family, school or community distress or disturbance.

Current Partnerships!

Bromley Children and Family Project

We are pleased to announce that the Foundation has once again been commissioned to provide counselling for individual adults and couples in the Bromley Children and Family Centres. This has been funded by the Bromley Children and Family Project.

This programme was very successful during the period 2009/ 2010, providing over 300 families with therapeutic interventions. In the coming commissioned period there are spaces to work with another

400 individuals or families.

If you feel that individually or as a family you could benefit from working through situations with a counsellor in a confidential setting, please contact your local Children and Family Centre. Eligibility criteria may apply – please contact your nearest Children and Family Centre for more information.

Alternatively you may wish to join one of the many groups taking place across the centres that offer you the chance to SPRING CLEAN YOUR LIFE – looking at everything from how you manage your money to your relationship and how your physical body can best serve you; or become SIMPLY THE BEST – a programme looking at all aspects of your life and how you can get the best from them.

Greenwich Education

We are proud to confirm that the Foundation has been funded by the National Lottery to provide bereavement counselling for children under the age of 16 across the Borough of Greenwich. Referrals will be made by via Greenwich Children Services Inclusion.

Elderly Persons Project

Despite having not received any direct funding from any local authority regarding our lunch clubs for elderly residents, which in addition to providing safe socialisation and a hot 3 course meal to attendees, also provides osteopathy and chiropody, we have managed to continue to run these. This is mainly due to dedicated volunteers, individual contributions and donations from the following:

  • The Albert Hunt Trust £2000
  • Alchemy Foundation £1000
